Sleepy Baby

My precious third child . . . such an easy going spirit (as long as its going her way :)hehe). I think I have more pictures of sweet Ashlyn falling asleep in the strangest places than any other pictures of her. It is a good thing she really is so easy going because she just has to go with the flow. She is totted around from errand to errand and from one bigger sisters activity to the next . . . and she is always so good about it! This was last Saturday and we had been doing our usual morning running plus a birthday party and came home for a quick change and were going to be out the door again. As we were getting ready to leave I couldn't find my keys and decided to put Ash in her room to play for a second while I looked for them. I looked and looked and couldn't find the darn keys (that's another story!). I hadn't heard Ash holding a conversation with her toys like she normally does so I went in to check on her and above is what I found . . . oh so precious!!!! Needless to say I couldn't go anywhere since the keys were missing but I wouldn't have left anyway . . . my baby obviously needed a nap!

Twins . . . 5 years apart!

Ashlyn Grace

Brook Emma

I've known from the moment she was born that Ashlyn resembled her biggest sister Brook! They are alike in so many ways. . . . though she favors her other big sis, Riley, in many ways too. So, I found these two pictures as I was working on the computer and though they is a couple months age difference in when the pictures were taken of the girls . . . the similarities are crazy!

Dance Recital 2009

Here are my little dancers. Today the girls went to their dance studio to get their recital photos taken. That is never an easy task but today was . . . well . . . just crazy! I feel for the studio teachers and the photographer. Things were way behind schedule from the get-go and there just wasn't much room to move much less pay for pictures, get kids ready, take care of a 9 month old who so didn't want to be there! . . . etc.! I think quite a few people were probably happy to see me leaving with my crew and stoller in tow!!! BUT . . . I do have to say that Brook and Riley were awesome! They waited for each other and followed directions so well . . .I was pretty proud of both of them! Not knowing what to expect from the studio shots and not holding my breath for great results I asked the girls if they would let mommy take a few pics at home in their adorable outfits. They were tired and hungry but humored me none the less. Gotta love em! Riley loves being in her tutu and "shaking her bootie" as she says! LOL! I think that may be the only part of the dance she knows! More picutres will be coming of my Brook-e-Bear. Her dance is so awesome (and hard) for the recital. I so can't wait to see it!

Big Girl

Oh Yummy! Ashlyn loves her food! She has liked every single food we have introduced to her. She sure does make things easy! She just turned 9 months (ahhh! can't believe that) and we decided to start letting her practice eating her solids on her own . . . so cute! She was given mashed potatoes and chicken (and a spoon which apparently was really a drum stick) She enjoyed playing with her dinner, wearing her dinner and even eating it when she could manage to get the food to her mouth.

Another Cute Trio!

These three cuties belong to a very sweet and special friend of mine. I had wanted to take pictures of her youngest for her 1st birthday and finally a month later I was able to do it! YEA!!!! As you can tell they were a blast to photograph.

This was the birthday girl :)

Gotta love that little smile!
